京都の旅行 Travel in Kyoto

ゴールデンウイークには京都に行くのを決めました。前に日本に住んでいた時、京都に行きましたけど、今回あまり外国人観光客が行かない場所に行きたいなあと思いました。だから、京都府北部に行くのを決めました。

During Golden Week I decided to travel to Kyoto. When I lived in Japan before, I went to Kyoto but this time I thought I’d love to go to some places that foreign tourists rarely visit. So, I decided to visit the northern part of Kyoto prefecture.

5月2日

授業が終わってから、東京駅へ向かいました。新幹線に乗って、2時間ぐらい後に京都駅に到着しました。もう午後6時でしたから、好きなとんかつ屋に行きました。そして、旅館へ向かって、チェックインしました。日本には、Booking.comのようなウェブサイトで旅館やホテルを簡単に予約ができます。1泊は５０００円でした。部屋は心地よかったですから、よく寝ていました。

2nd May

After my class, I headed to Tokyo Station. I boarded the bullet train and around 2 hours later I arrived in Kyoto Station. It was already 6pm, so I went to my favourite Tonkatsu restaurant. Then I headed to the Ryokan and checked in. One night cost 5000 yen. The room was very comfortable so I slept well.

5月３日

6時半に起きて、京都駅へ向かいました。京都府北部行きの特急に乗りましたけど、座席を予約できませんでしたから、2時間立たなければなりませんでした。ゴールデンウイークは1番混んでいるシーズンですから、2週間前に電車の切符を予約した方がいいと思います。天橋立駅に到着して、すぐに観光し始めました。まず、展望台に行くためにケーブルカーに乗りました。展望台から有名な天橋立を見て、すごく美しいと思いました。

3rd May

I woke up at 6:30 am, and headed to Kyoto station. I got on a limited express train heading for the northern part of Kyoto prefecture, but because I wasn’t able to reserve a seat I had to stand for 2 hours. Golden Week is the most crowded season, so I think it’s better to reserve train tickets two weeks or so in advance. I arrived at Amanohashidate station, and started sightseeing straight away. First of all I rode a cable car up to the observation deck. From there I could see the Amanohashidate sandbar, and it was super beautiful!

そして、京都丹後鉄道というローカル線に乗って、鉄道ファンですから写真をたくさん撮りました。電車でのんびり旅行が一番好きです！日本にはきれいな景色を走る電車がたくさんあります。

Then I rode a local railway line called Kyoto Tango Railway. I’m a big train nerd so I took a lot of photos. Slow-paced train travel is my favourite! There are a lot of trains in Japan which go through beautiful scenery.

5月4日

早く起きてすごく行きたかった場所へバスに乗りました。1時間かかって、とてもきれいな町に到着しました。町の名前は「伊根町」で、漁業や魚釣りで有名です。湾の周りにたくさんの伝統的な「舟屋」が並び立っていました。すごく冷静な雰囲気でしたし、海の匂いも嗅げました。他の観光客が少なくて、東京や京都と全然違う感じでした。昼ご飯の後、特急で京都市に帰りました。

4th May

I woke up early and took a bus to a place I really wanted to go to. After one hour I arrived in a very pretty town. The town’s name is Ine, and it’s famous for fishing. Around the bay there were many traditional fishermen’s houses called Funaya. It had such a tranquil atmosphere, and I could smell the ocean. There were only a few other tourists, so it felt completely different from Tokyo and Kyoto. After lunch I took a train back to Kyoto.

5月5日

京都市で観光をしました。もう京都に行ったことがありますから、新しい場所やまた行きたかった場所に行くのを決めました。まず、特別な電車に乗りました。この電車は美しいデザインがあって、きれいな山の景色を見られました。

May 5th

I went sightseeing in Kyoto city. Because I’ve already been to Kyoto, I decided to go to some new places and some places I’ve been to but wanted to visit again. First, I went to ride a unique train. This train had a cool design, and on the journey I could see beautiful mountain scenery.

昼ご飯は、錦市場という市場に行きました。通りに沿って色々な店がありましたから、食べ歩きをしました。食べすぎて、お金も使いすぎました！

そして、清水寺の周りのエリアに行きました。前に京都に行った時、清水寺は工事で閉まっていましたが、今回開いていましたから入られました！寺から京都を全部見られてとてもきれいでした！

For lunch, I went to a street market called Nishiki market. Along the street there were several shops, so I did a food tour. I ate too much, and also spent too much money!

Then, I went to the area around Kiyomizu temple. When I went to Kyoto before, it was closed for construction but this time it was open so I was able to go in! From the temple I could see all of Kyoto, which was really beautiful.

午後7時ごろ新幹線で東京へ帰りました。この旅行はすごく楽しくて2年間夢を見た場所にやっと行けるのは感動しました！

Around 7pm I rode the bullet train back to Tokyo. This trip was super fun, and it felt amazing to be able to visit places I’ve dreamt about for the last two years.
