Weeks 8 & 9: Launch Party & the Return of Riko-sensei!

With the last week being a busy one, it's been a little longer than usual between posts, but never fear! Get your update on what's being going on in this bumper edition looking at both Week 8 and 9 of the J-YAP IUSP Autumn Semester.

First up: last week saw the Autumn Semester Launch Party, held online with students of Japanese as well as Japanese exchange students in both the UK and Japan. What's more, in addition to the core J-YAP IUSP Project Members, several teachers kindly took the time to come along and introduce their sessions to those attending. There was then a quiz on Japanese dialects, with a prize for the winning team.

Looking ahead to Week 9, we have some exciting news in that Riko Sherratt is returning with the popular Riko-chan House (upper-intermediate level), as well as another newer pre-intermediate session, "Spruce Up Your Japanese". Both sessions are held weekly on Mondays, as can be seen in the schedule below.

14:00-15:00 Chat Club (Mihoko Noguchi, Pre-Int.)

Friday 5th

13:00-14:00 Virtual Study Abroad (Keiko Kelly, Upper Int.)
