JLPT N2: Learn from an Official Invigilator
Teacher: Yukie Yagioka
An intensive 6-part course for students interested in sitting the N2 level of the JLPT. In addition to covering the different skill areas and tips for the exam itself, this course included a mock exam.
JLPT N3 Intensive Course
Teachers: Hiroe Okamoto & Yumiko Schumacher
A 6-part course for students interested in sitting the N3 level of the JLPT, covering all different skill areas of the exam and introducing students to exam tips and techniques.
Let's Speak Japanese | Yumiko Schumacher
Teacher: Yumiko Schumacher
A Lower Intermediate course aimed at improving speaking skills through discussion of a variety of topics.
Practical Japanese
Teacher: Hiroe Okamoto
An Upper Intermediate course in which students tried out various situations they may encounter in Japan, e.g. looking for work, making friends and finding accommodation.
Riko-chan House
Teacher: Riko Sherratt
An Upper Intermediate level interactive conversation class giving students the opportunity to put their Japanese into practice whilst developing their understanding of Japan.
Yagioka Seminar
Teacher: Yukie Yagioka
A Lower Intermediate course focusing on deepening students' Japanese knowledge and understanding through topics related to their own hobbies, interests and more.
Careers Talk - A Career in the Foreign Office: What is it really like to be a diplomat?
An event in collaboration with Regent's University London and Keele University in which Ms Carolyn Davidson, the British Consul-General designate in Osaka, Japan, discussed her career in the Foreign Office.
Pursuing Life & Work in Japan: Grasping Opportunities both in Japan & Overseas
SOAS graduate and Okinawan dive shop owner Amy Dunn joined J-YAP IUSP to introduce her career path so far, outlining her personal route to finding long-term work and a life in Japan.
JET Interview Advice Session
Speakers: Emma Crampton-Thomas, Rachael Page and Jess Williams
A session in which three formers JETs offered general advice for those preparing for JET interivews.

Two University of Edinburgh MA Japanese graduates joined J-YAP IUSP to discuss their career paths to date, inlcuding work in numerous different countries and several different areas.

An event at which three speakers introduced their experiences of working in Japan, including on the JET Programme, as well as in the UK following time in Japan.
Matcha & Chadō

An introductory session to matcha and Japanese tea ceremony, including a chance for students to try making their own matcha.
