With this year's Spring Term now behind us, we would like to offer a heartfelt "o-tsukare sama deshita" to all students and teachers who have been involved in J-YAP IUSP these past few months - and indeed, over the two years or so since this programme was conceived.
The official farewell to Spring Term 2022 took place via an online party on Monday 28th April, which featured a food and onomatopoeia-themed virtual escape room kindly put together by project member Fumiko Narumi-Munro of the University of Edinburgh. Even the Japanese teachers among us had to think carefully to make it through!
To date, the majority of the classes and events we have held at J-YAP IUSP have been made possible thanks to the generous sponsorship of the Embassy of Japan in the UK. As the Japanese borders begin to reopen, we are assessing whether - or in what form - this programme will continue.
