Welcome back to the J-YAP IUSP blog.
Just over a week ago, on Saturday 20th November, several J-YAP IUSP Project Members were joined by around 40 students for an event entitled Building a Career in Japanese-English Translation (page accessible to site members only).
Featuring three speakers, each of whom graduates of a J-YAP IUSP participating university, the talk not only provided a great deal of useful information for aspiring translators, but was also reassuring in demonstrating the many different paths via which it is possible to pursue this career. Each Q&A session featured plenty of discussion, and the speakers kindly provided their slides to be made available to all J-YAP IUSP student site members following the event.
As careers talks are typically very popular, we hope to hold another one early in 2022.
Now, as teachers start to draw their sessions to a close for the year, here is what's coming up this week.
