Week 7 of the J-YAP IUSP Autumn Semester kicks off with a very special event: the Tsugaru Dialect Workshop!
This event, held by project member Fumiko Narumi-Munro joined by guest speaker Minako Ota, Assistant Professor at Niigata University, is a unique opportunity to learn about Tsugaru dialect directly from two native speakers.
In addition to announcing this special session, we have been excited to share the news that the 2022 UK JET Programme is open for applications. To help support those interested in applying, the Consulate General of Japan in Edinburgh is holding two events via Facebook in the coming week:
Wed. 20th October, 17:00-19:00 (event page: https://fb.me/e/2JXllSPnn)
Thurs. 21st October, 17:00-19:00 (event page: https://fb.me/e/5JAMxE6e4)
Both events feature a talk from and plenty of Q&A time with former JET Colin Johnston, whose experiences will surely be of interest to anyone considering applying before the deadline next month.
Now: time for our overview of the coming week with J-YAP IUSP.
