Greetings from everyone at J-YAP IUSP!
We are delighted this week to announce that in March, we will be running six sessions each for those aiming to sit the N3 and N2 levels of the JLPT. N3 will be taught by Yumiko Schumacher and Hiroe Okamoto, whilst Yukie Yagioka will be delivering all six of the N2 sessions. All three teachers have been a part of J-YAP IUSP for some time now, and we are confident that they will provide invaluable guidance to those looking ahead to obtaining JLPT qualifications.
In the past week, the following sessions were held as part of the regular J-YAP IUSP schedule:
Pre-Intermediate Japanese Conversation: Yagioka Seminar (Yukie Yagioka | This Week's Theme: Sweets)
Upper Intermediate Japanese Conversation: Practical Japanese(Hiroe Okamoto | This Week's Theme: Let's Speak to Japanese University Students)
Upper Intermediate Japanese Conversation: Riko-chan House (Riko Sherratt)
Furthermore, an invitation was extended to all J-YAP IUSP participants to join in with the University of Edinburgh's (first ever!) online 学園祭 (gakuensai - campus festival), held on Wednesday, 17th February. With activities including a Yōkai Escape Room, a Ghibli film screening, various quizzes, an origami workshop and relaxed social event, it was a great opportunity for students and staff to get together and enjoy Japanese culture.
