End of Autumn Semester: O-tsukare sama deshita!

With the winter holidays drawing near, last week saw the final few sessions in the J-YAP IUSP 2022 calendar.

Since the beginning of September 2022, we are proud to have scheduled nearly 70 Japanese language sessions, one launch party and a highly popular careers event focusing on the world of Japanese-English translation. This has of course been made possible by our wonderful Japanese teachers - some of whom offer their time as volunteers - and the sempai from J-YAP IUSP participating institutions who kindly made time to speak to current students about the world beyond undergraduate study.

To all teachers and event speakers, thank you for your amazing hard work this semester. We hope you have a wonderful break ahead in which to recover!

And to all the students who have continued to persevere both in the classroom and beyond, there is surely no better acknowledgment of your efforts than to say お疲れ様でした (o-tsukare sama deshita)! We hope the holidays allow you to set all online learning aside for a while and get some well-deserved rest.

As Japan's MEXT Minister has confirmed that study abroad in Japan is once again impeded by border restrictions, J-YAP IUSP's virtual year abroad programme is set to continue into 2022.

If you're keen to see what's on in the new year, check back here or visit our English or Japanese homepage for details to be announced later this week.
